Quick Start

This brief guide will get you started on recovering the password for your document. It takes just two simple steps.

• Open the document for which you need to recover the password, by either using the "Open" button in the toolbar:
  
• After the document opens, the Wizard will be launched:
  
  If your document is not protected against opening, the password will be recovered instantly and the file will be available for use immediately.
  If the document is password-protected from opening (see screenshot), an attack must be conducted on the file to recover the password. To begin recovering the password using all default parameters, press the "Next" button twice and then click "Finish".
  That's it! The attack on the file will begin and you can minimize the program to the system tray. After the password is recovered, the program will notify you.

Comment:

Using default settings does not guarantee successful password recovery, though in most cases the password will be found. If the password is not recovered, see the "Attack planning" chapter of the help file.
